Yeast Infection Remedy

A Natural Remedy For Yeast Infections – Is It Really Possible?

Let’s Review The State of Yeast Infections Today…

It is estimated that almost 75% of women will suffer from a yeast infection some time during the course of their lives. Yeast Infections are therefore quite a common health problem not only among women, but also for men. Male yeast infection is more common than you would think and if you are a guys suffering from this infection then you would do well to check out http://www.yeastinfectionsolution.org for a discussion on yeast infection in men specifically.

But let’s say you are lady, and you are suffering from one or more of the following:

  • A terrible itch in your vaginal area. This is probably the most common symptom and the most uncomfortable!
  • A discharge that can range from being thin, colorless and odorless to a white or yellow thick discharge that might or might not smell
  • Pain during sexual intercourse, although this is by no means a consistent symptom.
  • Pain during urination, although this might also not be a symptom for you.
  • Red and inflamed vaginal area, although this is also not a consistent symptom

As you can see, the range of symptoms vary quite a bit. Please do not diagnose yourself! If you suspect that you have a yeast infection, then you need to consult your medical practicioner first to make 100% certain. The problem is that if you treat yourself with over the counter medicine and you are not suffering from an actual yeast infection, that you might treat the wrong problem
with the wrong solution.

But that being said, quite a few of us suffer from recurring yeast infections. By the time that you get the second or the third one, you know the symptoms. This is also probably why you landed up on this website,  since you probably were diagnosed with a yeast infection previously and were prescribed anti-biotics or anti-fungal creams and gues what? It worked the first time, but now it is back – for a second or even maybe third time or more.

The problem with treating yeast infections with anti-biotics is that the anti-biotics kill bacteria indiscriminantly. This means that while the anti-biotics might kill off the yeast infection, it also kills off the ‘good bacteria’ that keeps the candida albicans yeast in check, making it almost inevitable that you will suffer from yeast infections again.

Whoa!

Let’s take a step back.

I said that you should not diagnose yourself and that treating yourself for a yeast infection when you might be suffering from something else could have unexpected side effects.

On the other hand, I also said that you should not take the treatments prescribed by the doctor. How does that work?

Basically, you need to identify that you are suffering from a yeast infection. For this you need to see a medical practicioner.

But you do not need to use the medicine that they prescribe. For that you should rather look for a natural remedy for your yeast infection since anti-biotics are the WORST thing that you could use to cure your yeast infection.

The candida albicans yeast lives in all of our bodies. Normally it does not present a problem for us since other micro-organisms (‘good bacteria’) keep it in check. It is only when it starts to grow uncontrollably that it can turn into a yeast infection, and it will only start to grow uncontrollably if there is an imbalance in your body – for example a low immune system. This is typically caused by taking too much anti-biotics.

Let’s look at a picture:

The Candida Albicans Yeast is kept in place by the ‘good guard dog’ type bacteria

Anti-biotics kill off the good bacteria as well as the Candida Yeast

But wait! There were some survivors!! But now the good bacteria are not enough to keep the Candida Yeast under control!
